Mr and Mrs Jeepy Januar who have been in the restaurant business since their late teenage years made a bold step forward the moment they shook the hands of Mr Alan Lee(previous owner) who offered them the opportunity to own Hunan Cafe perhaps as a way of passing the torch of restaurant operation to the next generation. Mr and Mrs Januar was one of the few who were privileged to receive this trust to bring the taste and flavor that people enjoyed for decades of coming to Mr Alan Lee’s restaurants to the next generation. They have been key persons on a few of its restaurants and were instrumental in bringing them to their glorious days.

Throughout the many years of being in the restaurant business, Jeepy Januar was able to cultivate great relationships with restaurant employees. The most notable of these relationship is with Mr Jimmy Wang whom he tapped to propel his restaurant forward by entrusting him the highest kitchen leadership role.

Mr Jimmy Wang was personally trained by Mr Mr Alan Lee who created an empire of restaurants by showcasing and replicating this unique, well-loved and highly sought after taste of Asia in the Fairfield counties in Connecticut and the Long Island area in New York.

Jeepy Januar who was also raised in a family of restaurant operators, understands well what makes a successful restaurant business: a combination of consistent great tasting food and great management skill which he personally defines as "the ability make a happy customer and a happy staff”.

Hunan Cafe is a pan-asian cuisine whose aim is to provide a-little-bit -of-everything "palatal experience" of the south asian taste. A few notable highlight in the menu, are the home-made dumplings (chinese ravioli) and their ramen noodle dishes. Being a tri-category menu(The Ramens, Sushi, Traditional Asian), it carries almost everyone's favorite asian food. This is certainly unique amongst other alternative in town.
